For four Saturdays in October, learn so much about songwriting from three incredibly experienced songwriters. Grammy award winner Jon Carroll kicks off the program with a discussion of the three-act structure in songwriting. Learn to tell a dramatic story with your songs by exploring how rhyming schemes and narrative methods in lyric-writing along with tactical musical arrangements can help elevate your songs to the next level. Then, work with owner Dan Prindle on the nuts and bolts of song structure and how chord progressions can help to create great songs. Wrap up the program with our lead engineer Nate Christy as you learn about how to take the song from idea to reality in the recording studio. October 19: Writing Good Chord Progressions with Owner DAN PRINDLE. October 26: Recording a Great Song in the Studio with Lead Engineer NATE CHRISTY. Program Details Adult ensembles are for any students who will be 18 years of age or older by October 1, 2019. Recommended minimum experience is two years of private instruction on an instrument (experience is not required). Pricing $299.00 per student.
